718·4 days agoThat is a slippery slope. If a millionaire is approaching that certain number. They would just leave before it hits their bank account.
What you are describing is straight up Nazi type tactics.
Every country would need to adopt a universal taxation of wealthy individual for increased taxes to work. What I am saying is if US has a 75% for those earning over certain amount. Then other countries have to do the same. If not then Billionaires will run/relocate to the cheapest taxes. Which would be easy since the country they move to will be happy to get Billionaires tax money.

31·6 days agoI don’t want to side track you. I don’t keep points for anything and would wager that most people don’t either. I think if you just appreciate your accomplishments/achievements it is reward enough. If not then good luck with ever being satisfied.

You know the malevolent demon that eats anything in the river. It has consumed boats, houses, coolers and people. When it can’t find food it greats a flood.
Didn’t protesters in UK also get arrested recently? It was about 8 of them if I recall correctly.
US Coast Guard is all over the world not just US conducting missions. This was 2005 in support of Operation Iraq Freedom. US Coast Guard has been in many US conflicts throughout history.
11·22 days agoI started buying more of what I want as I get older. I also have experienced death of an immediate family member. So this puts things in perspective for me. I ask the question how much time do I have left? Is this the right time for me to buy something I just want versus need?
More of my perspective reasoning. I have a chronic illness and it will progress and has already. So I don’t know what a month or year will be for me. I need to accomplish what I can while I can.
Ultimately not all wants will be acquired. Some are fleeting thoughts of maybe another life. I have a rule about electronics. Do not buy electronics or vehicles that are just released. The chances are they will have problems. Let others testing them first so corrections can happen. Then buy the items when on sale and hopefully bugs are worked out. Video games can apply to this logic as well.
