thx, as always international media is not capable of reporting correctly about swiss votes.

I don’t think so. Sheep don’t smell like dogs.
It never really worked out well. However, it could become relevant again in a distant future when all work has been outsourced to robots. But looking at the current world I doubt that we will ever reach that point.

Sounds awesome. I am planning to visit Angkor Wat next year and will put that definitely on my list.

is this a sanctuary open to the public?

The scary thing is you just need to simulate a single brain (yours or mine). Everything else is just loaded on the fly. Like in a game. That’s hard but probably not impossible. As soon as we are technically able to do something like this, chances are high that we, or I, live in a simulation.
you got my 207th upvote. thx for your service o7

I am convinced AI could replace CEO’s very easily. Making decisions based on trends and lots of data is an easy use case. And if it’s the wrong decision who cares? CEO’s also don’t take and responsibility at all. AI is also a very good lair too.
dang, I just bought FP5.

The last version on the website is from 2017. I wonder what’s going on? The repo seems to be alive. I used it for years but switched recently to ShareX since Greenshot GUI can’t really handle high screen resolution
Edit: Just checked the Blog. They didn’t had time in the last years but it seems to pick up speed again now. A new version is coming.

Very sad to hear but totally understandable. Unfortunately, this will make the centralization of lemmy world even worse.
How much effort is it actually to host a small instance? I am thinking about hosting one mostly for my self. Mainly because I am interested in the technology. Also my country doesn’t have one so that could be a topic too if there is some interest. But hearing this I am not so sure anymore. I can’t put many hours into it each week just to keep it running.
My company is making exactly the same mistake right now. I simply can’t understand how a European company can still make itself so dependent on Microsoft at this point. We Devs have raised the issue to our bosses, but there are still a lot of old MS fanboys around. Some people have to learn it the hard way.

S08 of Two and a Half Men, before Charlie died. It was okay after but just not the same anymore.
I have the same issue but with KDE. But in my case I think its because of the wireless mouse.

I am looking for a privacy friendly SwiftKey alternative, so I will give it a try. Seems like there is sadly not much alternative.

even on escalators?

I guess the soldiers will like to prepare, train and do the parade for a draft doger.
As European travelling in Asia at the moment, I notice this a lot.
There are loud people from all countries, and Americans are at least pretty nice usually. But in my opinion it’s true, you are also louder than most.
