Creaks. It’s a puzzle platformer sort of in the style of Limbo and Inside. Beautiful hand drawn graphics. Really challenging puzzles. And the music feels like it organically evolves as you progress through the game.

In the 00s I used to download pirated movies and tv shows off of these asian YouTube clones. There were english boards with links to videos on these sites so finding specific movies or shows was easy. They were often split in 10 minute parts. 240p at best. Audio was often out of sync. I’d then load them onto my click wheel iPod (“iPod classic”) and watch them in bed. It’s how I watched a lot of movies my parents wouldn’t let me see, like Alien. It’s also how I watched nearly all of MST3K.

I feel like every year Anker is recalling one of their power banks. Couple of years ago I had to return one of mine, but I have two other Anker models. Does Anker do more recalls than other brands?

A relative of mine last week ended up in the hospital because for several months he was “treating” a foot wound (maybe a bad spider bite?) with ivermectin and oils. It never healed then he developed a really awful infection that spread over his whole foot up to his knee.

It’s really easy now to scan an entire book with your phone. There are apps (eg Scanner Pro) that can take pictures of two pages at once and split them into individual pdf pages.

I done this with several books over the years. I place my phone on a tripod, point it down on a well lit book, and start scanning. A 300 page book might take about an hour to scan.

It depends on your needs. The typography and image quality is much superior for print than ebooks usually. That being said, I still get ebooks for large reference books so I can search them and copy/paste, eg programming related books. I also read foreign language ebooks so I can lookup the meaning of any word I don’t know with my phone’s dictionaries, or translate a phrase or sentence.

I keep tabs open for active projects. Once the project is over, I bookmark them for future reference.

They’re very easy to install. It’s almost as easy as installing a shower head.

There are also compact battery powered portable handheld bidets that work about as well as the real thing. I have one I take with me on trips.

Is this edition of Looney Tunes available on blu-ray? The Max version was a 4k restoration based off new scans of the film iirc.

I use office on macOS. Points 1 and 2 work for me only if the document is saved locally and not on OneDrive.

With Word, people using section breaks when most of the time they should have used the simpler page break.

Section breaks are supposed to be used if you want to have a change in the document layout in the middle of the document. This change could be with the margins, the orientation, the contents of the header or footer, the numbering (eg switch from roman numerals to arabic numerals), etc.

But if you just want the line to move to the next page, use a page break. Section breaks increase the chance of unintended layout and page numbering inconsistencies.

Microsoft should rename section break to “layout break” maybe.

Also, related topic, I really hate it when people just input a bunch of line breaks to get the cursor to the next page, instead of a page break.

The peak of AI for me was generating images Muppet versions of the Breaking Bad cast; it’s been downhill since.

I think Microsoft support webpages do this to the back button. I can’t get back to my search page results by clicking the back button after clicking a link to a Microsoft support webpage. It always redirects me back. I either have to hold the back button down and select the search page from the drop down or double click the back button.

My partner has an entire bookcase of them, all still in box.
