I am intrigued by this “blame the British” angle. I reflexively approve and agree.

I switched to Mac in 2010 and then to Linux recently. :)

I also think this is a strange thing for Europeans to ask. Their world leaders keep capitulating to Trump and getting photographed with him having sit-down negotiations and going to lunch and shit like that. They have their own military and their own world leaders and won’t stand up to him, yet they expect civillians with no military training to do so? We can’t do anything.

Unfortunately I’ve heard statements like this before.

Yeah that’s how you know he killed her on purpose
It’s so strange to me, the people that the public will hold accountable and the people who get a pass
Sometimes if I’m facing the wrong way in line at the grocery store or if I get randomly distracted by something, an old person or a woman will accost me, literally screaming and crying, complete with snot bubbles, because I’ve made some kind of basic and understandable error. I pressed the wrong button, I didn’t see someone in line so I cut in front of them, I forgot to hold the elevator door.
This guy shoots his daughter and people are saying ridiculous shit, assuming that he’s stupid or assuming that he’s going to snap out of it one day. He can’t just be a murderer. People are frothing at the mouth to make excuses for people like this.

This is exactly correct. There is very little chance that this wasn’t intentional, premeditated murder. This guy intentionally killed his daughter, he planned it, I believe he brought her into the room for that purpose and he knew what he was going to do.
Non-Americans seem to be really struggling to understand our country. They keep expecting us to be able to “do something” about Trump. They’re acting like he’s a normal president that we willingly elected. Half of them are expecting American peasents to defeat our military using only muskets, and the other half expects the GOP to be moved by strongly worded letters. Whenever something like this happens in America, whenever a father kills a daughter in cold blood due to some honor-related reason, there are always comments from foreigners talking about “he’s gonna feel bad when he realizes he commited murder.” You guys, he knows he committed murder. It was premeditated murder.

I have no idea what you’re talking about, my countrymen have been treating me like shit for most of my life.

Statments like this are so baffling because I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic.

This is exactly what I keep saying in my day to day life and people literally tell me I’m insane.
It will become harder and harder for the average person to procure money at all, and not having money will become a crime. We’re just going back to chattel slavery, and the ruling class is exploiting the hatred of homeless people that they cultivated in order to manufacture consent.

It would be so funny if this ended with Nvidia getting robbed.

The creator is a homophobe but I don’t know why that is more important than taking money from Palantir

dbzer0 instance is always so brave, or maybe you just don’t feel fear.

Holy shit, really?

GrapheneOS or KaiOS?

You mention wasted time and effort, going in circles, talking past and around issues/questions, I think a lot of people underestimate that this is why people go to AI in the first place, because asking for help can be genuinely unbearable sometimes

Turn off the notifications on your phone, they’re really killing your battery life if you’ve got them on.

AI psychosis is so easy to slip into, even if someone knows it’s happening. In order to use AI safely, use a search AI like DuckDuckGo/Ecosia/Gemini and only ask it questions pertaining to searches, don’t ask followup questions.
It’s not just that the AI convinces users that it’s in a relationship with them. The AI writes like a human, but it also will hallicinate and get things wrong. The user has the experience of arguing with a ‘person’ who keeps insisting on an imagined reality. That is crazy-making behavior when humans do it, so it’s understandable that it’s crazy-making when a search engine does it.
Kids were just shoving them in their mouths whole and choking nearly to death… clearly a cultural difference, here.
