unicornBro@sh.itjust.worksto Linux@lemmy.ml•I want to move out from Ubuntu and use something else.1·18 days agoIf you’re seeking something simple to use where you may never need to open the terminal, I’d say ZorinOS(Lite).
You can also test out Debian if you don’t mind a bit of tinkering on the terminal. You’ll have to add yourself as a user to the sudoers list first thing but there are plenty of 2-second video tutorials on how.
For both distros, if you are searching for support, you’d search “on Ubuntu” and basically the same would apply.

But I understand what you mean. I could just install for example Debian with KDE desktop and have more customizing options for free.
I would hang out with myself and get a lot done. We’d code an app, make a podcast for antisocial people, and plant trees.
We’d agree to use the same encrypted messenger.
I’ve never been good at socializing and it just makes me exhausted.
