In religious studies, daemon or daimon is used to refer to pre Christian supernatural beings as I said. There’s a huge difference between beings that may or may not be evil vs demons who are generally regarded as evil by definition. Demons got their name from daimons, but they’re not fully equivalent.

They were divine beings above humans and below gods, they’re probably the main inspiration for both angels and demons in Christianity

3·5 days agoFor Godot, there’s a cool (web and desktop) app called Learn to code from Zero with GDScript. It’s interactive and the stuff you learn there is fairly transferable to other languages.

1·5 days agoDo you have a proprietary requirement that you can’t handle on Linux? It works fine for me but also I’m not dependent on local proprietary tools to do my work so we may have a very different experience
