His theory was certainly expanded upon by a great deal of European thinkers later on, though he provided strong foundations.

1·1 month agoBeing prebuilt isn’t the same as open source! By that metric Linux is closed source because 99.9% of Linux users don’t build their own kernels (and those that do ought to shower anyway).

43·3 months agoTox also isn’t that great security wise. It’s hard to beat Signal when it comes to security messengers. And Signal is open source so, if it did anything weird with private keys, everyone would know
Marx was an economist too

1·3 months agoI mean it’s true they have a lot of stuff, but having stuff alone isn’t all you need to have military success. Stuff is just stuff, it stays still until you use it, and it’s useless unless you use it well.
I mean, something something Bay of Pigs, something something Vietnam, so on and so forth…
Every war is won with 10% weapons and 90% logistics, and a pinch of field intelligence. In a domestic conflict, the “territory” is the same for both parties; it’s very hard to defend a logistics system (the “tail” of your military operation) when it’s in the ‘contested’ territory itself. And this is where the direct action comes in (something something Sabo the Cat!)
I mean I think CRTs are going back into vogue as a nifty thing in many indie circles, including on YouTube where you see a lot of smaller creators embracing the aesthetic nowadays.

6·3 months agoA lot of resources to be expended on domestic soil, eventually they’ll run out of both weapons and the very working people they need to keep the economy running to (among other things) keep producing weapons, no?

6·3 months agoI think in cases like this, I’d rather the responsibility of burden be shifted towards individuals with autonomy than to large corporations. But I suppose in that case (reductionism warning) people might as well just use Linux.

what is this @UwU_Underground thing i keep hearing about and how does one gain access to such a privileged esteemed group
