A noble false widow, Steatoda nobilis (though this is an odd one, but don’t see what else it could be).

    could the last one be S. capensis? We have S. capensis and S. grossa here in NZ and both can be quite variable

      Not in England. Steatoda capensis is from South Africa but has bein introduced to NZ and Australia.
