I believe that because the earth is spinning on an axis, then it’s difficult, if not impossible, for the pollution to cross over. It’s always going to get dragged into a vortex towards the poles. In the same way a hurricane or a cyclone does not cross the equator. It’s physics.
Huh interesting. Never knew that cyclones and Hurricanes don’t cross the equator.
