I miss r/highvegans and can’t seem to find a good place to share pics of vegan munchies!

I ordered a vegan meatball pizza yesterday with a side portion of crispy roast potatoes for that double carb goodness but had nowhere to share!

*Edit I’m just high and lost and looking for my people on this strange new lemmyland

Oh hi there! I’m a high vegan and if you fancy sharing pics there’s shitty vegan food porn.

It’s still fairly new and we’re just starting on people submitting their pics but it would be great to have you! I’d love to see your vegan munchies for the inspiration ☺️

I’m a mod there so a bit biased though lol

That feels like a responsibility! Plus I’m struggling to understand how to do that if I’m being honest. Still feeling my way around the fediverse!

If you do decide to make them community I’d be happy to join. Or even help moderate it with you. I’m quite comfortable with Lemmy and moderate 5 communities with between my accounts. I also used to be a vegan and would like to get back there.

I’m a high veggie and always appreciate looking at good veggie and vegan food. Been away in the UK last week and the local boozers are embracing veggie in such a big way now, it’s a golden age for us after spending half my life eating sloppy veggie lasagnes as the only thing on the menu.

Where did you visit in the UK?

I’m UK based and I don’t know about other countries but yeah, our pubs pretty much all have at least one vegan option, even more remote country pubs are mostly okay.

Only issue is I’m noticing over last year or so that independent vegan places are struggling. Maybe it’s just that the boom led to an influx of cool places but not all are able to survive. I recently lost 2 very good places near to me.

    Hi and welcome to lemmy

While I’m not a vegan, were were vegi for a few years until we found that our daughter has IBS - lots of plant based protein really is not the best for her. We have switched to mostly pescetarian and red meat just a few times a week.

Anyway way, I dont know of any vegan community on lemmy - I do hope you find your way.
