I’m not sure if this is the right place for this question, but idk where else to ask.
Is there a way to log back into my account without giving FB my ID?
I have a Facebook account so that I can access links that require you to have a Facebook account. I don’t use it for anything else. I have no friends on it.
I had to factory reset my phone, and now I can’t log into my account without sending in some kind of id. It said I can log in from another device, but I get the same thing from every device.
I can live without FB. It just would be nice to be able to access links to it.
Can’t you sign in using your email address if you forgot your username?
Since you don’t really use the account, wny not just make a new one?
I did the email verification, but then I have to also give them an id.
I tried making a new account. As soon as I verified my email (which was a different email than my old account), I got a notification that my account was suspended and I have 180 days to appeal.
They instantly suspended your brand new account? It sounds like there might be something else going on here, and I suspect that there’s more to this than you’d have us believe.
Making a new account from the same IP after failing a verification is textbook ban/scam evasion
I got the same trying to make an instagram login earlier this year, having never used insta before. I think Meta just has some overzealous automoderation of new accounts.
There is nothing more to it. My original account was never suspended. Like I said, I only use it to click on links to FB. I’ve never posted anything.
I used a DDG email for the new account. IDK if that has anything to do with it. I know some sites don’t accept that as an email. I got a welcome email a little afterward, and clicked the link. When I signed in, It also said I was suspended.
I am using a VPN. Maybe it’s because that IP address has been used for another account. I’m just guessing there, because it didn’t tell me why it was suspended. It just gave me a link to their TOS.
There were probably some clues in the TOS.
