My first TikTok reached a whopping 100k views, but now I only get 50 on average. Is that intentional? It sure feels like it.

I briefly worked on a live stream app, yes.

New users generally get a boost.

The algorithms don’t know if your content is good, or bad, or who will like it. So to solve the cold start problem of where you fit into things without knowing you, you get a boost.

100k seems a lot though. But I’ve never used TikTok.

Don’t be so cruel to yourself. One video with loads of views immediately followed by several with almost no views sounds like something a lot different to “falling off”

    I’m positive.

TikTok is just the thing to be into today. I’ve seen very old uploaded YouTube videos still be in triple digits or even double digits. Some videos would be in millions but it wasn’t over night, it was over time since it was uploaded.
