No.
It’s not complicated. Anyone that tries to inject nuance into this simple question is not to be taken seriously.
Given that they are serious, though, and the subject, maybe they should be taken deadly seriously.
He himself has said he could run as Vance’s VP, and then Vance could resign. He said it like it was a clever hack he’d figured out. But the text of the amendment specifically forbids it. You can’t be VP if you aren’t eligible to be President, and if you’ve been elected twice, you aren’t eligible to be President.
I suppose he could say he hasn’t been elected twice because Elon hacked the voting machines in swing states in 2024, but at that point why bother?
He still says he’s been elected three times in a row, he’s not gonna say he wasn’t elected.
if you’ve been elected twice, you aren’t eligible to be President.
That’s not what the 22nd Amendment says, though.
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
In both cases it speaks to how many times you can be elected to the office of the president. But election isn’t the only pathway. There is line of succession as Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Cabinet Secretaries.

Can Trump make a boot so big even the media can’t lick it?
If Donald Trump remains President beyond Jan 2029, he won’t need to be elected to do it.
He will certainly try to and hopefully not succeed.

Nope
What’s stopping Trump from having a puppet run for President and he as Vice President? The puppet could then step down after Inauguration Day.
The argument I’ve heard being, the Vice President isn’t elected to the office of the President.
Edit:
Does the 12th Amendment negate that argument? The last sentence in the amendment seems to suggest so.
To be VP, you have to be eligible for the top spot. Trump will have already served twice so he’s no longer eligible.
What position is after VP?
Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson currently.

So here’s a pie in the sky scenario:
2026 - Flip the House, Hakeem Jeffries becomes Speaker.
Flip the Senate with a majority large enough to impeach.
Remove BOTH Trump AND Vance.
President Jeffries.
Now this is a legitimate argument discussion. How is the law interpreted. I’m not a constitutional scholar, so I have no idea. But this is a much better topic of discussion than what OP posted.
Not legally, no.
Why the downvotes?
Because there’s no reason to write a headline that implies this is an open question. The answer is no, and implying it could be anything but no is irresponsible. Someone reading a headline alone should be told that so if that’s all they read they don’t think the answer is more complicated than that.
Dumb article and OP is dumb for sharing it. This shouldn’t even be a discussion or debate.
