So, how’s it going?
Also, last night I updated lemmy to 0.18.5. There was only about 30 seconds of downtime.
They are hard at work on lemmy 0.19.0, this 0.18.5 release is a bug fix to resolve an issue with federating admin actions that were incorrectly being blocked by receiving servers. So you shouldn’t notice any difference.
0.19.0 will have major breaking changes to the backend, with the idea of greatly improving paerformance. So expect new bugs and broken apps for that one.
It would be nice to let others go first, but it’s possible apps will start updating and not work on the old version, so timing will probably be key for our upgrade.

Personally I’m lying in bed feeling sorry for myself. RAT test was negative but considering the two confirmed COVID cases in the house I’t’s probably that.
When I had it, the nasal swab kept returning negative but doing a throat swab was an immediate positive. Same situation, daughter was already a confirmed positive and I was feeling the sickest I’d felt for a long time.
Ah I might try that. I remember now there were people suggesting swabbing the swab on both nose and throat.

Our local Kmart has their halloween display and their christmas display almost within sight of each other. If they’d been closer I’d have been tempted to put the santa hats onto the giant glowing skulls…

Just went for a bush walk to enjoy the absolute stunner of a day Wellington has put on for us.
