Refusing to drop out, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan is telling GOP colleagues he will back a temporary speaker as he works to shore up support to win the gavel himself.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) called proposed plan to empower Speaker Pro Tem Patrick McHenry (R-NC) “the biggest fuck you to Republican voters,” Punchbowl News reports.
He also claimed “more than half of Republicans” will oppose it, meaning it will need majority Democratic support.
And the Dems will as an even bigger “Fuck you” to Gym “Look the Other Way as a Physician is Fondling Wrestlers” Jorden, and Banks.
Ironically, the more opposition from the GOPer conference, the more leverage the Dems will have in getting a deal to pass the empowerment.
