I tried posting on /c/world, but the posts didn’t show on /c/world. I checked modlog, I didn’t find if I was banned. I also checked inbox and I couldn’t find any messages if I was banned.
And I’ve tried posting on lemmy.world support but the post wasn’t there
Any explanation for this?
If anyone has suggestions on troubleshooting this I’m all ears.
You aren’t globally banned from lemmy.world, because we can see your account fine directly on lemmy.world: https://lemmy.world/u/throws_lemy@lemmy.nz
Your post (this one) doesn’t show on lemmy.world despite the community meeting the criteria for federation (has subscribers, hasn’t been removed): https://lemmy.world/c/support@lemmy.nz
I can’t see anything in the mod log - however, I can’t see anything in the lemmy.world mod log when filtering my either of the banning options (community or site).
Have others had any issue with their posts or comments federating?
Sorry, I mean this post
https://lemmy.nz/post/4888044
But It doesn’t show on https://lemmy.world/c/support , probably because I haven’t subscribe to c/support ?
I’m not sure it was the case for c/world, I tried subscribe to c/world and others in the early weeks since I joined here but the status was on “Pending”, so I unsubscribed. And I’ve had no trouble posting there until today. I haven’t tried to post on c/news, c/science, c/space or c/technology
Two days ago, I can comments on other posts in different communities on lemmy.world and I can see those comments from lemmy.world. I haven’t tried it for today.
I understood which post you meant, I was just saying this one didn’t federate either. Plus, I tried a test comment and it didn’t federate my comment either. Something must be broken, I’ll try to look into it but happy to take suggestions from anyone!
Edit: I messaged someone from Lemmy.world who said they have changed a rate limiting setting so see if that helps?
Hi thanks a lot Dave!
It’s now working again! 🤗
Oh me too! I did some tests in the time after they changed it, it didn’t seem to work (and those comments still haven’t federated), but I just posted a new comment and it has federated straight away!
