      careful what you wish for.

In this fucked up timeline, they could actually win.

Agreed. Let’s face it. This is the plot to Back To The Future Part II. Time travel is real people.

to be more clear- he went to BUDS but was UDT, didn’t complete the 26 week SEAL training and didn’t serve in a seal team. he served in Vietnam at a time when a lot of what the SEALS did, the UDT also did; so it might be a pedantic distinction here. that’s for you to decide.

As for being a governor, I live in MN. the only nice thing I can say about him is that he managed to put good people in placed under him, so that they kept shit from going off the rails. But Ventura himself was definitely off the rails. he had no support of the legislature, so the only thing on his agenda he actually got done was a tax rebate (we were in a budget surplus for the four years he was in office and it had broad bipartisan support; even without him. he was 3rd party). In his last year 6 of his 9 vetoes were overturned in bipartisanship.

he’d be what we would have gotten if trump put nominally competent people in charge rather than his own idiot-spawn and spawn-in-laws.

But today? he’s gone off into full-on conspiritard bullshit and shouldn’t be let anywhere near government again. He’s buddy-buddy with Alex Jones, for example.

He was also a mayor, I forgot that part. Navy seal, mayor, and a governor. Think of all the conspiracies he will blow wide open. Someone call June and Michael shits about to get real.

Jesse ventura is actually a good entertainer turned politician. When I imagine a celebrity becoming the president he is one of the few that don’t absolutely terrify me

are you smoking the same shit Ventura is smoking?

he was mostly an ineffectual governor, with one of the few bits of his agenda getting done being the tax rebates. He managed to get very little else done.

subsequent to that he went of the deep end, espousing a variety of consipracy theories, including being a 9/11 “truther.”
