    I dunno. They also care a great deal about their participation trophies.

    I was working security adjacent to a rally security perimeter (the client was next door. Talk about a shit show,) the last time around.

    Some old navy vets were bitching out event staff because they didn’t get their free maga cap.

    (Pretty sure they weren’t passing them out. Trump would never pass an opportunity to grift his favorite marks for a few bucks.)

    I’d have felt awful for the lady. Except she volunteered to staff the event as a True Believer™️

      The hat is a symbol of their membership in the favored in-group. It’s not a show of support but an outward demonstration that they’re in an upper level of the hierarchy than the hatless, as silly as it sounds.

        Not silly. It’s part of the fascist state to have symbols of membership allegiance. Like the swastika for example.
