Democrat Dakota Adams is mounting an uphill battle for a seat in the Montana Legislature in a deep red corner of the state. But even if his campaign fails, he expects a lifelong future in politics—drawing a stark divergence from his father, who founded the far-right Oath Keepers and is serving an 18-year sentence for conspiracy in the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection.
In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Adams revealed his abusive upbringing at the hands of Stewart Rhodes, and the new path that he seeks to chart.
He said living with Rhodes was a constant process of moving around and starting over, as the Yale-educated militant convinced his family the government was spying on them and the end of days was imminent.
“We lived in extreme isolation in one particular cultural bubble in increasingly paranoid and militant right-wing political spheres everywhere we moved in the country, until eventually we ended up in Montana,” Adams said.
You think they could put a picture of Dakota Adams up there and not that reject Bond Nazi villain.
Here let me do it for you Daily Beast.
Thanks! That’s the image of a man I can get behind. Maybe in more ways than one if I was lucky lol

Thank you. Saved me a quick Google.
On one hand, he sounds like he learned to be completely unlike his father. On the other hand, he admits he has major educational deficiencies from his upbringing.
Seems like a bit of a risky choice for a political candidate, but he does seem genuine.
This young man got a first hand education in the sort of toxic energy that is threatening to unravel our democracy. Then, he chose democracy and rose above it. I don’t care if he doesn’t know his times tables. If he can guide others out of fascism, the way he guided himself out, that’s much more valuable in my opinion than memorizing 9*9.

Also recognizing that you don’t know everything or don’t know enough is the path to learning, I’d rather that than someone who thinks they’ve got it all figured out because they went to Princeton.
Someone willing to recognize they have educational deficiencies in their upbringing is someone who is going to do their research and check their bias.
I trust anyone who can recognize those games more than someone who thinks they have been taught every correctly
Federman cut against the grain and made it work
Until the Gaza genocide came to the forefront and he outed himself as an unconditional supporter of the fascist apartheid regime committing it.
