Why do you think DeSantis and Abbott have spent so much effort making their states red hellholes? They’re trying to drive out anyone with current liberal leanings, attract more Republicans to their states, and repel potential Democrats from moving in, all in a very determined effort to buy more time for those critical electoral college votes.
