A neo-Nazi front group is demanding that New England secede and establish itself as a white nation. Decrying “enemies” that are “all around us” and vowing to defend racial “integrity,” the People’s Initiative of New England published a revolutionary manifesto on July 27 advocating “separation from the United States of America.”

It’s sad the times we’re living through. When I was growing up and getting smarter in school, I expected the rest of the world was too.

Yet, its 2023 and we still have Nazi’s out there thinking it’s okay to hate and people who think the world is flat.

That’s exactly how I feel, I thought the world would get better and better, not take a hopefully temporary nose dive. Now I think it’s like a roller coaster that goes through fire or water on the bottom and we have to not let the world go too far down or stay there too long. I wish we knew more when we were at the top of the hill too.

Also thinking that somehow the NE states could be self-sustaining. Exactly what cureency would this country use? How would they feed their citizens? Do they think that population could survive on just cranberries and maple syrup? Would they expect to be allowed to stay on the electrical grid without paying for the infrastructure upkeep? Do they have refineries to process crude into useable fuels?

As usual, those who dont know history are doomed to repeat it and these dools obviously slept through history class and disnt pay attention to why the CSA was dooned to fall.

There are countries that import things which they cannot produce domestically. Though not sure who would want to do business with such a country. Actually sadly probably a lot of US states would want to. Not like this would ever happen though lol.

Just saying there are a lot of other regions in the US that would be more fertile ground for this type of endeavor.

Well if they were rational, they wouldn’t be racists, but there is certainly a fixation on New England among certain groups. It’s not very common but this isn’t the first time this idea has been floated, like the inbred cousin of the idea of the Great White North, which means “snowy” to some and something else to a certain sort.

New England is mostly white not because they’re racist, it’s because they didn’t have slaves. These idiots are going to find out about the 20th Maine if they want to see how New Englanders treat racists.

Yes and no… New England did have sundown towns and exclusionary zoning.

I do agree that the region is outwardly more liberal and progressive, but my feeling is also that it’s values haven’t been tested as much as other areas. In the past when it’s values were tested, it hasn’t always been perfect. I say this as a New Englander. That said, it’s worlds away from a place like the South. And, I do appreciate the values of the area even if they aren’t always consistently upheld. It is better than unapologetic and outward racism.

Honestly I kind of like the idea of these nutjobs all congregating in one place, and it sounds like they’re even volunteering to bow out of US politics. I can’t help but view this as an absolute win. If all the sane people also move out of that area we can maybe even take a page from the racists own playbook and just build a wall around them.

They’re not going to hold themselves to anything they’ve said, don’t believe them for a second that they’ll bow out of politics or not do more and more domestic terrorism. This whole thing is to move the Overton Window about accepting them little by little as part of the normal world.

I mean it’s a fair point, but I still think it’s better to have them all out in the open in one place we can keep an eye on them rather than scattered throughout the country. The trick would be to string them along enough to make them think they’re getting what they want without actually giving them anything meaningful.

Do you mean like telling them we’ll give them an island but it’s in Antarctica? That’s fine.

Plus, they’ll just cry about how things suck there and want everyone else to help them. I suspect it’d turn out a little like Grafton, NH, where all the libertarians moved and were, you know, libertarian about things, and then the bears moved in. Suddenly, help from the state seemed like it might be a good thing.

These dumbass nazis would create a violent “community” of trash people based on exclusion, and then be surprised when the violent trash turns on each other because they can’t survive without an out group.

This sounds a lot like the State of Jefferson, which was/is supposed to be mad made up of southern Oregon and northern California. They’ve been talking about that idea since the early 1900’s

Ah, the free stater scum that flocked here in the early 2000s. These losers came mostly from the south and are slowly getting priced out of the area due to high property taxes (we have no state income tax, so property taxes are quite high).

These morons also seem to think that the US would just let it happen, and be open to trade with them.

New Hampshire, I presume? I had to move to the midwest on account of those ever increasingly absurd property takes because “all of the tourists will go somewhere else if we have a sales tax!” Such nonsense. When I left, there were more Massholes living in the NH seacoast than local folk. Buncha dubbas.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Decrying “enemies” that are “all around us” and vowing to defend racial “integrity,” the People’s Initiative of New England published a revolutionary manifesto on July 27 advocating “separation from the United States of America.”

The initiative, he insists, seeks to “blackpill” Americans who’ve bought into “Tucker Carlson and the ‘great replacement’ conspiracy theory” and move them down the “pipeline” to full-fledged fascism.

“The only way you achieve a white ethnostate is the forced removal of, or mass killings of, people of color, right?” PINE is “using synonyms,” Goldsmith believes, “but still seeking to accomplish the same ethnic-cleansing goals of the neo-Nazi version of their brand.”

But NSC-131’s own literature, announcing the launch of PINE, explained the relationship between the two groups: “The Nationalist Social Club was conceived and implemented as the vanguard of our people,” reads a Telegram post from April.

NSC-131 has also recently amped up its public relations — seemingly in response to the dossier distributed by Task Force Butler that labeled them “a violent terrorist gang” that engages in “harassment against religious, racial, and ethnic minorities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and others deemed ‘enemies.’”

The group also insists: “We reject any and all false assertions that we are in any way a gang, criminal enterprise, or terrorist group.” (It also denigrates Task Force Butler founder Goldsmith as “Goldbrick,” blasting him as “a Jew who engages in deception for a living.”)
