he’s a southern gov in a southern state who campaigns on and follows through on bill vetos targeting marginalized goups, supporting and expanding the ACA, funding youth crime diversion programs, etc, etc, etc. so yes, “surprisingly progressive” in a state with a supermajority republican legislature.
NC is a state in transition, but its slow dirty work dragging this state forward. don’t know where you are, but if its the southern US I am interested in hearing why you disagree with the cooper assessment.
