I would guess that is like the average Lemmy visitor, and maybe even the average Lemmy poster. The ones that picked a club are just a lot more visible.
Maybe more than average, but it’s 99% pure shitposters. Pretty much all extremist forums are, and sorting out who is who drives the cops crazy.
You’re right on money. Nearly all the violent, threatening, extremist shit talk is only that, talk. But then there is the 2% youre talking about, that comes after all the violent rhetoric. Ive heard leftist threat/wish violence against certain groups/individuals who i could be classified as. Im sure the threats and potential threats keep the cops very busy.
I’m actually including total dabblers in the 2%, but I get what you’re saying.
Usually the people you’re thinking about go after United Health CEOs, though, not somebody who made them mad online. I wouldn’t worry too much.
