Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a video address released Sunday that Canada’s strong economic ties to the United States were once a strength but are now a weakness that must be corrected.

In the 10-minute address, Carney spoke about his government’s efforts to strengthen the Canadian economy by attracting new investments and signing trade deals with other countries.

“The world is more dangerous and divided,” Carney said. “The U.S. has fundamentally changed its approach to trade, raising its tariffs to levels last seen during the Great Depression.

US is not an ally to Canada and treats it like an adversary. It’s time Canadians (i.e. CPP supporters) realize that and act accordingly - boycott the shit out of US products.

Same. The only time I willingly bought an American product in last year and a half was an espresso at McDonald’s in Europe to use their toilet. Luckily, we have lots of domestic products here in Japan so it’s easy to avoid Yank products/services, but ignoring Steam sales have been like torture.

It’ll be more like a civil war we’ll get dragged into, I think. But either way, it’s going to be absolutely brutal.

Just need to regularly place signs along the border with the temperature forecast (in Celsius) and the current gas prices (converted to gallons). Should scare most of em off.

If we sent them our Maple MAGAs, they would voluntarily build the wall to keep away from Canada’s dangerous liberalism

We’re about to get hit with the biggest propaganda campaign in history.

Just sneak in the narrative that the US needs to build a wall to keep the Canadians out and we’ll build at least a small section (while grifting for the rest).

If y’all made it easier for folks without a degree to emigrate, I’d be there in a heartbeat. As it is, your country has decided that I’m not worth having around. I doubt y’all have much need for anyone that can solder electronics, anyways.

Really should have kept selling bonds. Strengthening ties with China isn’t a long term solution.
