The thing is that The Homer did everything that it was promised to do. Most of the things promised were stupid, but engineers came up with working solutions and the car actually functioned. It was just ugly and no one wanted such features.

The Cybertruck does not have as much going for it.

I am also a time traveler from the future.

I am here now, in the past.

Tomorrow i will be in the future.

But I will have been in the past.

Collectively, they’ve done enough drugs to think yesterday was the future and believe themselves to be 20, tall, and fit.

I agree, but I think that they all share the something of the same clown quality.

I actually liked Rogan on News Radio (90s sitcom) where he played an idiot-savant repairman who could fix anything electronic, but everyone acknowledged that it would burn the place down in 48 hours if left as is. For reference, Andy Dick was also on that show. He looked competent next to Andy Dick, but not nearly as funny.

I thought Rogan really found his calling on Fear Factor, where he just urged people to eat maggot infested cheese. If that show had gone on, how different would our world look like today??

We also watched the Apprentice, but I remember it as a comedy with Trump as the butt of the joke. Did no one else get that joke?

Musk - crap on a cracker. I’ve heard a lot of comments on how his “pedo guy” comment changed peoples’ perception of him, but holy crap. It should have come even a little bit before that. There were about a dozen children trapped in a cave in SE Asia with “hours to days” to survive, if they had even made it that long. This cave had something like a14 inch vertical choke point and muddy conditions throughout.* What does this lackwit do? This absolute knob releases footage of a prototype submarine in a swimming pool in California, being guided along by human divers and says “EMERGENCY RESPONDERS STOP WORK. I’M YOUR ONLY HOPE.”

Point being: This moron does not understand what a cave is. Probably coupled with “and no one is going to tell him that.”

I like dynamic banter, Conan needs a friend, you made it weird, harmontown, the weekly planet, smartless, and occasionally listen to the podcast version of the daily show. Other than the daily show podcast which isn’t really a podcast, it’s just an audio version of a real show; some of them are more organized or have a more narrow goal, but everybody on all those podcasts would agree they’re just shitting in a mic. The one thing they all have in common is they are meant to be funny and as unfunny as he is, Joe Rogan is a comedian that shits in the mic like every other host of every other comedy podcast.

Well, someone showed a meme of someone listening to Joe Rogan out of another person’s asshole and you said that’s what podcasts are, so I think it was a fair assumption that you didn’t like them, especially since you didn’t name any podcasts that were just a bunch of fart noises.

Because that is what podcasts are, I already said that. That doesn’t mean their bad, again, nobody said that. It means they shouldn’t be taken seriously. Whether it’s Joe Rogan or any other comedian, they are shitting in their mics, that is the only thing every off the cuff and improvisational podcast has in common. The only thing special about Joe Rogans podcast is that a lot more people listen to it than other ones, it doesn’t mean he’s not shitting in the mic like EVERYONE else with a podcast. My point was: that meme could have any podcast in place of Joe Rogan and it would be just as accurate.

Understand that trump is doing this: speaking directly to his base, because he assumes he’s going to lose the election, and he’s trying to lay the groundwork for Civil War 2. There is no other explanation for him to only be speaking to his base for the last 4 or 5+ interviews. He’s not going after undecideds or urban voters. He’s already lost in his head, so he’s going to rile up his base and convince them to try another Jan 6th, but this time, with more prep and planning involved.

Right, I don’t disagree that this is all he’s ever done, but he also attempted a coup last time as well. That’s basically what I’m saying.

He’s doing it out in the open right now. Absolutely no political strategist would have ever cancelled the 20/20 interview, or any of the town halls he’s cancelled lately, 2 weeks out from election day. It’s batshit insane. He’s not even campaigning in swing states right now. Musk and Tucker and others are doing that for him.

He’s speaking to his base nonstop, because:

        • He’s a narcissist and needs the attention
        • He’s laying the groundwork for his next coup, just like he did the first one, except way more in the open and well ahead of time.

Sure thing. It’s the same service in pretty much every respect. Except without Joe Rogan profiting from it because of some insane $250 mil agreement to push his toxic right wing misinformation show.

They have the same music, the same podcasts, same general search and playlist features. They don’t ever try to upsell anything or play ads. They’re also $3 cheaper than Spotify.

Even without the Rogan nonsense, I would have switched to Tidal if I had known about it.

Then it got big and he started enjoying the smell of his own farts ( or something, allegedly). And stopped using the dmt. And it went downhill in a random walk down.

Them came spotify and i knew it was all crap from there on out. A few episodes here and there that make it to youtube ive watched , but meh.

Joe Rogan was never going to let Kamala Harris on the Podcast. He knows which side his bread is buttered on, and that would piss off his base. All he cares about at this point is money. He gave up the “I’m a socially liberal populist” bullshit after 2016 basically.

I would be surprised if he let one candidate come one and refused the other. Rogan has worked pretty hard not to appear openly partisan. He also wants the views. He could pull in a shitload of viewers with a Harris interview, just like Fox did with their interview.

Basically, yeah Rogan is clearly a piece of shit but his bread isn’t buttered the same way other right wing influencers are.

These kind of headlines really make us look like crackpot to the right. Joe Rogan is not one of the worst people ever.

He’s a self interested comedian and Podcaster who platforms people indiscriminately. The conservatives have made themselves available to him, and he has shows to make. He has plenty of liberal guests that don’t get confrontational or hostile interviews and most of his personal politics are pretty liberal.

Rush Limbagh, Alex Jones, Bill O’Reilly were all actually conservative right wing monsters.

He’s making entertainment. But he also pushed back on him alot, or at least he used to. He really lets people go off though because it’s a 3 hour talk. He doesn’t have to keep them on track or concise. There are lots of episodes where crackpots come on and the reaction isn’t “this guy is right”.

It is a really long format show to watch and actually get context for if you don’t enjoy him at all. Too many people consider him a monster just from snippets or articles, which is why I wish people would chill with the hyperbolic claims.

He’s friendly with people who are nice to him and help him provide good content for his audience. Unfortunately, the more he’s villianized the more that becomes exclusively right wing shills. He’s not just gonna stop the show because the people willing to book skew right. He was booking Elon before he became so publicly problematic. He is also the reason Neil deGrasse Tyson was popularized. And he has research paper authors on fairly regularly. It’s a mixed bag.
